About us

WEINUNIKATE (“Unique Wines”) is a company specialising in wines which are hard to find or unique in their making.

Our range of wines constantly changes due to this as some of our wines are no longer available on the market. We also specialise in indigenous vines which, though native to their country of growth, have gone out of fashion and are slowly but surely making a comeback. These vines tend to use less water than imported varietals and are better for the ecosystem as a whole. Depending on the feedback from our customers, we hope to focus solely on these in the future.

Weinunikate is owned by Frank and Charlynne. Both share a strong interest in wine cultivation and different cultures. After attending several wine seminars over many years, they learned how wine functions as a cultural enrichment, source of pride and identity to all the winemaking countries of our planet. It is the wish of the owners that, by tasting these wines, you as a consumer would develop an interest in these wine making countries, their wines and their ways.

We sell exclusively via our website and at trade fairs, for example at Forum Vini in Munich, Germany, where you can visit our stand.

Our mission

We aim to convince you to try wines you possibly have never even heard of, or which were produced in countries which you did not even know produced wines, or wines which were made in a very unusual way. We hope to surprise your palate and to submerge you in a virtual journey to these special places where these fine wines grow and to learn about them.

We are committed to quality, sustainable wines.

Our values

We sell wines which our customers can drink with a clear conscience. In order to do this, we carefully pick our wines according to following criteria:

  • People: Our winemakers and the staff on the farm are treated and paid fairly. The community also profits from the farms. Career perspectives are created for people with special needs.
  • Quality: Our wines are not only delicious to drink, but as a rule of thumb can be kept for many years, getting better all the time.
  • Sustainability: Our winemakers treat the environment with respect and farm in a sustainable way.
